Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day

Term 2

Our main focus this week has been learning about our bodies, with our role play area being turned into a doctors surgery and having a visit from a real doctor to learn all about what they do.  We have been reading the book 'Funnybones' in Drawing Club and learning all about our skeletons.  In the story we looked more at the dark, dark street which tied in perfectly with our bonfire night celebrations.  We found about why we celebrate bonfire night, did lots of arts and crafts and finished the day by toasting marshmallows on our own bonfire and enjoying smores.

What a busy first week back.  We began our week learning all about Diwali with a visit from one of our parents, who told us all about how they celebrate it and shared some lovely craft activities with us.  The following day our home corner had been transformed into a witches cottage.  We explored pumpkins, wrote spells and made potions.
